City of Atlanta Municipal Election Information for Tuesday, November 5

Vote.jpg

Polls in the City of Atlanta and around the metro area opened Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m. in Atlanta on Election Day, and until 7 p.m. in other locations. While many voters may know the schedule, the city has announced a number of changes that some residents may not be aware of.

Since its last election, the City of Atlanta has undergone a redistricting process; therefore some voters may now vote in different City Council and Board of Education districts and will be represented, in the next term of office, by the members assigned to those new districts.

For voters with questions or concerns about the candidates appearing on the ballot they receive, the City of Atlanta suggests that they pause and immediately relay those concerns to a poll manager or other available poll worker, to assure that you are in fact voting in the correct district, BEFORE casting your ballot.

To verify voter status, voter precinct information or for other assistance voters call Fulton County Elections at 404-612-7020 or call the City of Atlanta Elections Hotline at 404-330-6500.
