anthonyhamilton-400Never disappointed!

Those are words that comes to mind when I think of Anthony Hamilton being in concert. Although I have seen him before, He always delivers.

This time the venue was the downtown Cannon Center for the Performing Arts last Friday (Sept. 13). Marcus Dorris and Mix and Mingle Entertainment once again brought an evening to Memphis that I am glad I didn't sleep on and that I got to experience up close and personal.

The show began with a song by two of Memphis's own – the sultry Karen Brown and the ever so suave Tim Terry. They could have given a show all by themselves!

Kindred and the Family Soul followed. The bond and love they sing about is truly displayed in their interaction with each other. I love to see people love each other! They were preparing to celebrate their 15-year anniversary and made sure everybody knew knew it!

"Marriages can still last, no one said it would be easy, but they can last" was their pronouncement.

Hamilton – proving once again that he is such a performer – graced the place, doing serious justice to our everyday favorites. The backup ground singers and the band were simply amazing as they engaged the audience and kept us clinging on for the next song.

After the show, I told my hubby, "It was worth every minute past my bedtime I was up!"
