NASHVILLE – J.J. Watt takes the NFL very seriously, so he gave Titans rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger a reminder that this isn’t high school by mocking the first-time starter with a pretend selfie.

Watt celebrated and sent his message after coming up with two sacks, a batted pass he nearly picked off and a forced fumble as the Houston Texans beat the Tennessee Titans 30-16 Sunday for a win in the franchise’s 200thgame.

Against all odds: The King brothers

It’s been almost 50 years since Charles and Tony King became the first and only black siblings to play on the same professional football team with the Buffalo Bills in 1967 of the then American Football League.

Charles, a defensive back was a high draft pick in 1966 and his brother Tony, a flanker and multi-position player joined him on the Buffalo Bills team in 1967, thus making them the first black siblings to play on the same team.

Grizz notch ‘useful’ win over Flemengo (Brazil)

The Memphis Grizzlies grabbed their second win of the preseason against the Flemengo (Brazil) at FedExForum on Friday (Oct. 17).

The international exhibition game brought out more than 10,000 fans. What started as a bucket-for-bucket contest early on ended in a 40-point flight for Memphis resulting in a 112-72 victory.
