Civil Rights leader and former Atlanta Mayor Ambassador Andrew Young enjoys a celebration of his 80th Birthday, where a full house attended a reception and seated dinner at the downtown Hyatt Regency Hotel Sunday, May 20. Young, seated, is shown with mostly family and close friends, including his wife, Carolyn Young (far right), and Oprah Winfrey, who received an award for her achievements from the honoree. The occasion was emceed by actor and producer Jasmine Guy and comedian Jonathan Slocumb, with entertainmnt that included Tyrese Gibson, India Arie, Simone, Amanda Williams, and locals Rev. T. Renee Crutcher and Karen Lowery. Awards were also presented to Edwin Moses, Laurel Turner Seydel, and Dallas Austin.
