15-Year-Old Girl Fatally Shot on Southwest Side

    A 15-year-old girl was shot to death as she stood with friends in a backyard in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

    Porshe Foster was standing with two other teens, 16 and 18, when someone walked up and opened fire around 9:20 p.m. Monday in the 6900 block of South Campbell Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer

      1 Fatally Shot, 1 Injured Outside Funeral At South Side Church

      CHICAGO (CBS) — In what appears to be a retaliatory gang attack, two people were shot — one fatally — outside a church funeral on the South Side on Monday.

      One of the victims — 21-year-old Sherman Miller — died, and the second man was in critical condition at Stroger Hospital. Police say both were convicted felons and gang members.
