Spanked by Spurs, Grizz look to regroup

Grizz Spurs-600They beat the Los Angeles Clippers. They sent the Oklahoma City Thunder home packing. But after a Game 1 meltdown in the Western Conference Finals, it appears the Memphis Grizzlies may have big-time problems with the championship-savvy San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs came out firing against Memphis, setting a quick pace en route to a 105-83 romp at the AT&T center. Attacking the rim and making shot after shot from the outside, the Spurs kept an unbreakable grip on the lead throughout the entire game.

San Antonio raced to a 17-point lead in the first quarter. An although the Grizzlies cut the lead down to six during a stretch of the second half, there just wasn't enough consistency to derail the Spurs' juggernaut.

Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph was held to just two points. Quincy Pondexter led the Grizzlies off the bench with 17 points, followed by 15 from center Marc Gasol.

The Spurs' troubling point guard Tony Parker finished with 20 points, with Kawhi Leonard adding 18 of his own.

The Spurs clearly didn't want a repeat of the first round of the NBA playoffs two years ago when the eighth-seeded Grizzlies deflated the championship aspirations of the top-seeded Spurs. With Memphis' 2011 first-round win over San Antonio, the Grizzlies became just the second No. 8 seed in NBA history to defeat a No. 1 seed in a seven-game playoff series.

Despite the double-digit loss, Grizz fans have recent history to draw upon. During this year's powerful playoff run, Memphis has recovered from first-game defeats to Los Angeles Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Looking to regroup and adjust, the Grizzlies will face the Spurs in Game on Tuesday in San Antonio.

Hi! This is kind of off topic but I need spme help from an established blog.
Is it tough to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast.
I'm thinking about creating my own but I'm not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions?

Thank you
