The 62nd NBA All-Star Weekend concluded on Sunday night (Feb. 17) with the West defeating the East in a 143-138 victory at Toyota Center.

Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph, making his second All-Star appearance, played 13 minutes and finished with six points and five rebounds.

"Everybody was cheering each other on. It was great. It was definitely competitive," Randolph said.

Players had a full schedule on Friday (Feb. 15.). After speaking with the media and answering numerous questions, they went straight to work. Community service paved the way.

The NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service involved more than 1,500 NBA family members, volunteers, NBA partners Adidas, Kia, Reliant, SAP and State Farm and NBA community partners the Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation, Houston Food Bank, KaBOOM!, and Rebuilding Together.

Randolph, who is not stranger to community service, was assigned to cleaning up a section to build a new playground and said it was a great experience.

Projects included five home refurbishments, the construction of a new playground, and food sorting and packaging to support Houston residents in need.
