Kwame Kilpatrick Sentenced To 28 Years - Did Race Play A Factor? (SURVEY)

Months after his 24 count conviction for public corruption, former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds today to serve 28 years in federal prison.

"I'm ready to go so the city can move on," Kilpatrick said in court before the sentencing.

In his statement to the judge Kwame said: “I want the city to heal, I want the city to prosper. I want the city to be great in the end."
