Operation Hope Meets To Discuss ‘Silver Rights’ In Atlanta

Nestled in the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement and bolstered by event keynote speaker U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, some 1,000 delegates will gather to begin a process of identifying viable systemic and sustainable solutions to economic problems during the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit in Atlanta, Nov. 14-15, "silver rights" nonprofit Operation HOPE has announced.
More than 200 speakers are set to participate in the "Community, Character and Responsible Capitalism" themed event. During the conference, speakers will help bring financial dignity and "silver rights" empowerment into focus, not as soft and ancillary economic tools, but as core ingredients for mid-to-long-term economic recovery and stability.
Kimberly Davis, managing director of Global Philanthropy, president of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, will join the dialogue as a speaker and working group session co-chair.
Other working group sessions include Mobile Money and eEmpowerment, Banking the Unbanked, Small Business and Credit, The Role of Government in a Reset World, The Mortgage Crisis, Youth Economic Energy and Entrepreneurship, and Economic Disaster Preparedness
Davis' responsibilities include managing over $150 million in annual charitable giving, employee volunteerism, civic engagement and strategic corporate marketing programs at JP Morgan Chase.
Davis earned a bachelor's degree in economics and finance from Spelman College in Atlanta. She has completed ARC International's Advanced Leadership Program and the Aspen Institute Executive Program.
Davis co-founded Springboard, Partners in Cross-Cultural Leadership, a leadership education and consulting company committed to building highly diverse teams. Her passion for the issues surrounding leadership for women prompted her to help develop, design and implement a national leadership center – Spelman LEADS — in collaboration with Spelman College, where she is a trustee. The center focuses on the unique leadership issues for women of color. She is also a trustee of the Kenan Institute at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and serves on the board of the Executive Leadership Council.
