Girl Scouts Make History Display

 

There is a new exhibit at the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Headquarters, 5601 North Allen Road in Mableton in honor of Black History Month. It is called "In The Lives of District V- The Untold Story of Atlanta's First African American Girl Scout Troops." Featured are remarkable leaders such as Bazoline Usher and accomplished Girl Scouts such as Rosyln Pope. Special thanks to Rhonda Barrow, Sue Belden, Denise McGill, Margaret Paschal and TaMara Powell for creating this educational and interesting exhibit. The public can view the display any time the building is open, which is usually 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday; and 10 a.m. -3 p.m. Saturday.
