Locally owned A Healing Paradigm, LLC (AHP) has announced its one year anniversary and open house for its Wellness Center located in Downtown Historic College Park. Company owner Dr. Ifetayo Ojelade noted that the center offers counseling, psychological assessment, yoga, meditation, and other wellness services at its 2700 square foot facility.
AHP's Wellness Center model includes counseling interventions targeting depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and chronic medical conditions. In addition, psychological assessments are provided for individuals seeking pre-surgical clearance, identification of learning disabilities, diagnosis of psychological conditions, and court mandated matters.
Support services for parents include in-home post-partum depression assessments, in-office counseling, and courses on child development.
A new addition to AHP, services include college planning for families with children starting in the middle grades. Group and individual sessions will include career planning, school selection, educational financing options, and private parent consultations. Perhaps the most exciting addition to AHP will be the new wellness services that include yoga, meditation, fitness, nutrition, women's and girl's health classes.
