Chicago Police Retiring at Record Rate

    The Chicago Police Department is on track to break an all-time record that poses a problem for the city.

    The Chicago Sun-Times reports officers are retiring at a record pace this year.

    The Fraternal Order of Police says this year's retirees will top 580; that would break the old record of 570, which was set in 2004.
