Drivers May Get Cash Back for Parking Tickets

Chicago2.jpg

If you've received a parking ticket from a private lot in Chicago, you may be getting some money back.
The city is investigating parking lots that are doling out fines without properly warning drivers with posted signs, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection investigation is focused on 52 lots managed by New York-based ABM Industries, according to the newspaper.
City law prohibits companies from issuing parking tickets without posting regulations, and the investigation has only turned up two locations with the proper signage.
The company could be forced to reimburse ticketed drivers and could also receive additional fines from the city.
