Authorities say a man has been beaten to death in a fight on a Chicago rail platform.

According to police, a 37-year-old man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after a fight on the platform of the 43rd Street Station along the Chicago Transit Authority's Green Line.

The fight took place around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that the man had died but was withholding his name pending notification of his family.

Police spokesman Daniel O'Brien says no one is in custody, but officers are investigating.

A spokesman for the transit authority, Brian Steele, says a surveillance camera on the platform captured the incident and the video was being handed over to police.
