Ninety-nine people have been charged with cashing more than $41,000 in checks using an illegally-obtained state of Tennessee account number, authorities said Tuesday.

NASHVILLE (AP) — A new University of Tennessee report says the number of uninsured people in Tennessee has hit a 10-year low.
Media cited the study in reporting that the number of people without health insurance shrunk about 25 percent in the first year of the health insurance marketplace, which was implemented under the federal Affordable Care Act. It was the biggest drop since the university began collecting data 20 years ago.
Bill seeks to repeal Common Core, set up panel
NASHVILLE (AP) – Two Republican state senators have filed legislation to repeal the state's Common Core standards.
The measure would set up a so-called Tennessee Standards Commission that would recommend to the State Board of Education standards to be used in the state's K-12 public schools.
