Dr. Sheila Flemming-Hunter, founder and President of BRF, said “Steppin’ with the Stars Showcase is a take from the popular television show “Dancing with the Stars.” She envisions the event giving a new sector of the community an opportunity to participate in philanthropic activities on behalf of children.
Dr. Gregory Washington, President of UFWC, said, “I am happy to partner with BRF to get the word out about the importance of a holistic approach to wellness for children and their families and the programming we offer to assist the south Memphis community.”
Proceeds from the event will benefit organizations that offer programs for foster children, children of incarcerated parents, mentoring, physical and mental health.
