Nobel Peace Prize nominee to speak at Summer Youth Conference

More than 2,000 teenagers and young adults are expected to attend the first Summer Youth Conference on UNITY and HOPE to be held in Memphis. More than 2,000 teenagers and young adults are expected to attend the first Summer Youth Conference on UNITY and HOPE to be held in Memphis on Saturday and Sunday, June 25-26 at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts downtown.

The two-day conference is a social action initiative that will feature nationally and internationally noted speakers such as Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Dato’ J. Jegathesan of Malaysia, an internationally renowned economist, a youth advisor and social reformer, who will also address the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce during his first visit to this City.

The Methodist Healthcare Center of Excellence in Faith and Health and the City of Memphis – Mayor A C Wharton – are co-sponsoring the conference.
