Griffith is acquainted with adversity. She was 14 when her father died of cancer. Her mother had a heart attack three years later and no longer was able to work. She graduated with honors from the Art of Institute of Colorado. She works at Saks Fifth Avenue. That store, however, is set to close next month.
In an interview with a Denver-area television station (9News), Griffith said, “I feel like these are all just moments that are teaching me how to be a stronger person.”
