On April 22, Sigma Lambda Lambda and Epsilon Phi chapters solicited can goods and monetary donations for the Mid-South Food Bank, which provides food for 325 charitable feeding programs in the Mid-South.

The goal was to raise enough food and/or money to feed 100 families for one meal. Several members of both chapters stood in front of Walmart at Winchester and collected 15 boxes of can goods and 4 boxes of bottled water, along with donations of $600 from the public and chapter members.

David Warren, Quincy Snider, Carl Jackson and Joel Weathers from Epsilon Phi Chapter joined Reginald Clark, Torrance Bostick, Damien Jones, Randy Irving, and Jermaine Swagerty of Sigma Lambda Lambda Chapter to put the event on the success track.

Special thanks, say organizers, to Pat McClain of WalMart and Regina Thomas of Fox 13 for their help.
