Session participants will have an opportunity to speak to the Commission about personal experiences, ask questions and even submit a formal complaint when applicable. The Commission urges those who feel that they have been discriminated against when attempting to secure housing, on the job, or at a business that offers services to the public to be a part of this event that is free and open to the public.
The Commission’s role, by means of enforcement and education, is to safeguard the citizens of Tennessee from discrimination in the areas of employment, housing, and public accommodations in regard to race, creed, color, religion, sex, disability, age, national origin, and familial status.
