Yvonne D. Nelson
Nelson has worked with myriad organizations serving the needs of many different constituencies. She is president of the McCorkle Road Neighborhood Development Association, Inc. of Memphis and is the CEO and founder of DI’MANS, Inc., an agency that “provides guidance and structure in the lives of marginalized youth and young adults.”
Nelson said she was drawn to the Foundation because of the personal ties she has to lupus and similar autoimmune diseases. She holds bachelors of administration degrees in Management and Finance from The LeMoyne-Owen College and masters of business administration degrees in Management and Marketing from American InterContinental University. She is a PhD Candidate in Organization and Management with an emphasis in Leadership at Capella University.
