Some people might not understand it. Some might believe it to be something other than what it is. Nevertheless, Oprah Winfrey feels duty bound to explain (again) her relationship with gal pal Gayle King. Winfrey yet again offers that she is not gay and neither is King in the August issue of Winfrey’s O magazine.
Not that there is anything wrong with being gay. And if they were lesbians, they would surely tell the world. It’s just that this is not the case – no matter how their friendship might look to the general (unknowing) public. There’s nothing sexual about it!
The two have been friends for 30 years, with King having worked in a variety of positions for sister-girl Winfrey. Most recently, King is an editor of O – but has held other jobs for her wealthy friend over the years. (Perhaps, this is the real secret of their friendship: employer/employee!)
