Well, Usher has been white-hot for so long, it seems as if there is no stopping this music man of the new millennium. Case in point: he recently signed on to star in the long-running Broadway musical Chicago. He’ll begin a six-week run starting Aug. 22.
Usher’s done just about everything else. So why not Broadway? Just as long as he doesn’t go the way of Julia Roberts, who was universally panned for her Broadway debut.
These days, it’s no longer enough to simply be one thing and nothing more. In order to maximize your earning potential, a star has to have their hand in a variety of pies and a pot on numerous stove tops. You’ve got to burn the candle at both ends and juggle several different balls in the air. After all, before you know it, you could be a has-been – and not earned as much money as you could have.
Undoubtedly, Usher isn’t about to let that happen to him!
