That is no longer the case. At this month’s board meeting, it was voted that the previous policy preventing children, parents, spouses, sibling, first cousins, nieces and nephews of MLGW employees from working there be officially revoked.
The new policy only prohibits individuals from working under the direct supervision of a child, parent, spouse, sibling, first cousin, niece or nephew. The new policy is consistent with the regular City of Memphis personnel policy on nepotism.
