The soaring and soothing tenor voice of Minister Darren Calbert was a constant comfort to the audience as he performed songs of praise. Calbert, who was joined by his wife, Minister Diane Calbert, led the praise and worship part of the service. Traditional gospel songs such as ”Hold On. A change Is coming’” were delivered to the soul-stirring approval of those in attendance.

Evangelist Lue Murray gave the occasion. Speaking directly to Ford, Murray said, “Yes, you’ve made it here. Yes, you’ve done what God called you to do. Now, I want you to press toward the mark by saying yes to Jesus. God is getting ready to do a new thing, so press to win those souls for Jesus.”

Later, in a personal testimony, Lakyshia Jones spoke of how God has acted in her life from early childhood. And the mistress of ceremony was the dynamic Evangelist Patricia Ann Mosby of Holy City Church of God in Christ.

The speaker for the program was Pastor Mary Robinson, who spoke on the spiritual meaning of the word covenant, defining it as a “between-ness or self awareness between God and a person who has dedicated his/her life to God. Dr. Robinson encouraged Ford and all others present to complete whatever work God has begun in them.

Pastor Ford, who thanked all on had for the celebration, encouraged the congregation to continue their service to God who would direct their destiny.
