Grant Applications of Interest are being accepted now for the Women’s Foundation 2007-2008 granting period until Friday, Aug. 18, at 5:30 p.m.
In an effort to help more women become economically self-sufficient, the Women’s Foundation Annual Grants Program is designed specifically to target programs that address one or more of the following areas: 1) Job Readiness; 2) Career Development; 3) Non-traditional Job Training; 4) Economic and Financial Literacy; and 5) Entrepreneurship;
Agencies seeking a grant from the Women’s Foundation must meet the following criteria: A) Have a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt designation from the Internal Revenue Service, or be a governmental, educational, or religious organization; B) Be located within Shelby County; 3) Have board, staff and volunteers that are inclusive of and clearly reflect the diversity of the community served; D) Encourage self-sufficiency for women of all ages. No application will be considered from previous grant recipients unless all written reporting requirements have been met.
Applications of Interest are now available and can be downloaded from the Foundation’s web site at www.wfgm.org or at the Women’s Foundation office located at 8 S. Third Street, Suite 110, Memphis, Tenn. 38103.
The deadline for submitting Applications of Interest is Friday, Aug. 18, by 5:30 p.m. Agencies and organizations that have questions or need additional information should contact the Women’s Foundation at 578-9346.
