For Drifters, Inc. Memphis chapter, community service is in fashion

The Memphis Chapter of Drifters hosted the “Hope…..That Fashions” fundraising event at the Holiday Inn Select at 5795 Poplar Ave.
In a world of frustration with current events, driftwood to some symbolizes movement from frustration to inner peace.

A showstopper at the “Hope…..That Fashions” event.

Such is the case with The Drifters, Inc., conceived in Waco, Texas in 1954, with the first chapter established in Chicago by December of that year.

And in 1993, The Mighty Mississippi River Group (MMRG) was formed – under the leadership and guidance of Bernie Fitzgerald Randolph – as an organization with members who desired to positively impact the community. Sponsored by the St. Louis Chapter, the MMRG officially became The Memphis Chapter of Drifters, Inc. and the 31st chapter during the 37th Annual National Convention.

Last Saturday (May 7) the Memphis Chapter of Drifters hosted the “Hope…..That Fashions” fundraising event at the Holiday Inn Select at 5795 Poplar Ave. The show featured Stanley Smith and Erolé Exposé Showstoppers and gospel newcomer Angel Perry and Company (CD release party June 5th).

A non-profit organization compromised of professional women, the goal of the Drifters is to engage in charitable, civic, educational, and social activities. The Memphis Chapter gives back to the community in the following ways: Donations to The Drifters, Inc. National Revolving Student Loan; scholarships; adopter of a third grade class at Springdale School; mentorship; Ronald McDonald House supporter; “Sock for Seniors,” a project for nursing homes; and “Spread a Little Love,” a book project for daycare centers.

If you're interested in starting a career in the field of HVAC, the first step
is to find a quality HVAC Technician Program in your area.
Simply remove the hose, fill it with water that contains 25%
bleach and let it sit for several minutes. The training period is a lot shorter, usually about 6 months long.
